SALAW Associates has expanded its Regulatory & Advisory group, adding dedicated capacity across data protection, anti-money-laundering compliance and sector licensing. The expansion follows three consecutive years in which regulatory instructions grew faster than any other area of the firm's work.

The group now advises clients in financial services, healthcare, telecommunications and consumer sectors on authorisation and licensing, compliance framework design, and regulatory investigations. It works alongside the disputes group where an enquiry escalates to enforcement.

Why now

Regulatory obligation has moved from a periodic filing exercise to a continuous operational requirement, and most organisations have not restructured internally to reflect that. Our clients were increasingly asking for compliance frameworks their operations teams could actually run, rather than policies that satisfy an auditor and are ignored in practice.

The expanded group is led from the firm's principal office and is available to retained advisory clients as part of their existing arrangements.
