Elena Marchetti

Elena Marchetti leads the firm's real estate practice, acting for developers, institutional landlords, funds and lenders across the property lifecycle — acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposal.

Her transactional work is grounded in title. Elena's standard position is that no funds move before the chain of ownership, the encumbrance position and the approvals status have each been verified independently, and she has walked more than one client away from a deal on that basis.

On the development side she structures joint-development and construction arrangements, negotiates the risk allocation that determines who bears delay and variation, and manages the regulatory approvals path that decides whether a project is viable at all.

Elena also handles contentious property work — title, partition, possession and specific performance — which keeps her drafting realistic. Documents written by someone who has had to litigate them tend to look different.
